Commissions
Use NinjaTrader's recorded commissions, fill in the ones it missed, or set your own rates per broker.
Applies to TradeScope 2.4 · Updated September 2026
NinjaTrader only records commission once a commission template is assigned to an account, and it never goes back to fill in older trades. So many traders have months of trades showing $0 commission, and their net P&L looks better than it was. TradeScope can fix that without changing any of your data.
Find it in Settings → Commissions.

Choose how commissions work
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Use NinjaTrader’s (default) | Shows exactly what NinjaTrader recorded |
| Fill in the gaps (recommended) | Uses your rates only where NinjaTrader recorded $0 |
| Always use mine | Uses your rates for every trade |
Changes apply straight away on every page, with no resync. Switch back to Use NinjaTrader’s at any time to see the original numbers again.
Default rates
Default rates apply to every account that doesn’t have a broker profile.
- Enter a symbol, for example
MNQ. - Enter the amount and choose per round turn or per side.
- Click Add.
The table shows your rate next to what NinjaTrader recorded, so you can compare.
Broker profiles
If your accounts are with different brokers or prop firms, give each one a profile.
- Type a name, such as “Bulenox”, and click New profile.
- Add a rate for each symbol you trade. Seed from default rates copies your defaults in as a starting point.
Assigning a profile to accounts
In Settings → Accounts & Groups, click the + profile chip on an account, or select several accounts and choose Set commission profile. Pick the profile and click Apply.
Effective from is optional. Use it when a broker changes its fees: assign the new profile from the date of the change, and older trades keep the old rate. Leave it blank to apply the profile to all trades.
Deleting a profile moves its accounts back to your default rates.
Which rate wins
For each fill, TradeScope uses the first of these that applies:
- The account’s broker profile in force on the fill’s date
- Your default rates
- What NinjaTrader recorded
Your rates are applied when TradeScope shows your numbers, and they’re never written into your data. Your NinjaTrader database is never changed.
