Licence and activation

A TradeScope licence is a one-time purchase. Each licence works on two PCs at once.

Buying from inside the app

The easiest way is to click Buy in the banner at the top of TradeScope.

1. Click Continue to checkout. Stripe checkout opens in your browser.
2. Pay as usual.
3. Go back to TradeScope. It shows Waiting for your purchase… and unlocks by itself when the payment goes through.

There’s no key to type. If you close the window by mistake, click Buy again; TradeScope checks for your purchase first.

Activating with a key

Your licence key is in your purchase email and starts with TS-.

1. Open Settings → License & Plan.
2. Paste your key into the field, for example TS-ABCD-EFGH-JKLM-NPQR.
3. Click Activate.

Your data switches from the sample data to your own trades. Once activated, the page shows your plan and the email the licence belongs to. Click the eye icon to reveal the full key.

An activated licence works offline. TradeScope only needs the internet to activate, deactivate and check for updates.

Using a second PC

Install TradeScope on the second PC and activate it with the same key. That uses your second seat.

Moving to a new PC

1. On the old PC, open Settings → License & Plan, click Deactivate License, then Deactivate. This frees the seat. Your trades stay on that PC, and TradeScope switches to sample data there.
2. On the new PC, install TradeScope and activate with your key.
3. To bring your journal, screenshots and settings across, make a backup on the old PC and restore it on the new one.

Deactivate while connected to the internet. If you’re offline, TradeScope clears the licence on that PC but the seat may not be freed.

If the old PC is gone

If the old PC broke or was wiped before you could deactivate it, contact support with your licence email and we’ll free the seat. Reinstalling Windows or replacing the main drive also counts as a new PC.

Reinstalling on the same PC

Install TradeScope again and click Buy or activate with your key. TradeScope recognises a PC it’s already activated on, so it doesn’t use another seat.
