Execution Timeline

Replay a trading session fill by fill on the price chart, with your position and P&L updating as it plays.

Applies to TradeScope 2.4 · Updated September 2026

The Execution Timeline replays a session the way it happened: every fill, in order, on the price chart. It’s the closest thing to watching yourself trade again.

The Execution Timeline

Opening a session

There are two ways in:

  • Click Execution Timeline in the sidebar, then choose an Account, an Instrument and a Date, and click Load. Recent sessions gives you one-click access to your latest days.
  • On the Calendar, click a day and then Replay day.

The Session setting narrows the replay to part of the day: Full day, Open 9:30–10:30, Power hour 15–16, or Custom with your own start and end times.

What you see

  • The price chart with each fill marked as it happens. Pop out the chart opens it almost full screen.
  • The minimap under the chart shows the whole session. Click anywhere on it to jump there.
  • The tape lists every fill with your position after it: flat, long or short, and by how much. Quiet stretches of more than a minute are marked. Each round trip ends with its P&L and average prices.
  • The side panel shows your current Position, Session P&L, a small equity line, and counts of fills and round trips.

Long quiet gaps are shortened so the replay keeps moving. Press Esc to close a popped-out chart.

When something is missing

  • No minute data for this session: the replay still runs from your fills, just without candles. See Chart data to fill the gap.
  • No executions in this window: try Full day, or pick another date.

The Execution Timeline always uses calendar days, even if your trading day boundary is set to CME Globex.
